50 Cent was involved in a scuffle with the entourage of an African rapper in a Lagos, Nigeria airport over the weekend.
50
was in Nigeria to perform in the annual Star Mega Jam which involves a
four-city tour of Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Benin. According to African media source, All Day, the trouble started when some Nigerian artists insisted on flying first class to Port Harcourt like 50 Cent.
The squabble began when 50 Cent, who arrived the airport two hours behind schedule, was prevented from taking his seat in the first class section of the aircraft by local rapper Idris Abdulkareem who highjacked the seat meant for 50.
In the argument that ensued, one of Abdulkareem bodyguards allegedly brandished a bottle which sparked a brawl that spilled out onto the tarmac. Officials of both the ADC Airline and the Airport Security unit made everyone evacuate the aircraft.
As a result, even though the previous shows in Abuja and Lagos went off without a hitch, the concerts billed for Port Harcourt and Benin were canceled, and 50 flew back to the States. Spokespeople for 50 Cent could not be reached for comment. |
