Canadian emcee K-Os may be a hip-hop rebel, but he's getting love from all of North America. Not only has his sophomore release, Joyful Rebellion, gone Gold in Canada, the set and its current single "Crabbuckit" are the No. 1 most downloaded Hip Hop/Rap selections in the Apple iTunes music store,
beating out vets Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z. "Crabbuckit" is also the #3 most downloaded song overall in the entire store. Recently, the Trinidadian-born artist, who claims to be heavily influenced by the Beatles, also released a fancy box set containing Joyful Rebellion along with his
first album, Exit.
Only 7,500 copies of the double-disc box are available. K-Os, who just finished up one
leg of his Canadian tour, will hit the road again in
January. |
