Ludacris and producer Kanye West have not only been hit by a lawsuit, they've been hit with a diss track, too.
The track titled "F**k Ludacris" was recorded by a rap group called I.O.F. (It's Only Family) and avenges Ludacris' "Pass Out" from Luda's latest, The Red Light District.
"Pass Out" calls out I.O.F. on their claim that Ludacris (real name Christopher Bridges) and West used the hook from I.O.F.'s title "Straight Like That," for the hit single "Stand Up" on 2003's multi-platinum Chicken and Beer. I.O.F. filed a lawsuit against Bridges and West in April of 2004, claiming the hook was on a demo that ended up in their hands.
In "Pass Out" are the lyrics: "Now desperate artists trying to sue/ but just making some claims/ Can't get in the spotlight for nothing and it makes em' insane."
I.O.F came back with: "You should have known by the spots where I saw you dummy / if I was there I probably had lawyer money / plus you stole anyway so I'm a see you in court / and you're too light to fight and too short for sports."
I.O.F. felt compelled to answer, although they claim they never intended to get involved in a hip-hop beef.
"We're not trying to get in on somebody's coattails. He got a song coming at us. I'm just defending myself. He opened that door. Who else does he have a lawsuit with," I.O.F's Big Ace said. "He's painting a picture of I.O.F like we're desperate. This is Hip-Hop. You know how it goes. You're not just going to say something about somebody and not get a response."
