Snoop Dogg has sued an anonymous woman and her legal team for extortion, claiming they demanded $5 million to keep silent about an alleged assault against her.
According to Billboard Online, the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Dec. 10, said Snoop Dogg (aka Calvin Broadus) was not physically involved in the assault at a performance in 2003.
The defendant was listed only as "Jane Doe" to protect her privacy.
The lawsuit alleged that the woman and her attorneys threatened to sell details of the alleged assault to a book publisher and the National Enquirer if Snoop didn't cough up a cool $5 million.
Neither Snoop Dogg's publicist PR team nor the lawsuit provided details of the alleged assault. In an effort to stop future threats, the Doggfather is suing for punitive damages.
