According to recent estimates from Pollstar, Prince came in tops for tour circuit income in 2004.
The artist formerly known as a glyph raked in a cool $87.4 million in concert ticket sales for his Musicology tour which ran for 96 shows in North America.
Prince's trek also ranks high among all-time tours, coming in at No. 8. The Rolling Stones top the list with sales of $121.2 million from their 1994 tour.
It was a stellar year for Prince, 46, whose eccentric albums had taken him out of the mainstream for a decade. Before hitting the road to play sold-out arenas, he performed at the Grammys in February, and stole the show at his March Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
