Usher, along with veteran pop singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow, was the big winner in the music categories of the People's Choice Awards, held last night, January 9.
Taking place in Pasadena, California, the show saw Usher take home the award for favorite male singer and the favorite combined forces honor for his single "Yeah!" featuring King of Crunk, Lil Jon, and Mouf of the South, Ludacris.
Alicia Keys, Usher's duet partner on the hit single "My Boo," took the favorite female singer award.
For the first time in its 31 year run, the People's Choice Awards were decided entirely by Internet voting. More than 21 million votes were cast for this year's winners in music, film and television categories.
Michael Moore's hot anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" was named best film and Mel Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ" best film drama. NBC's "Will & Grace" took the best TV comedy honor, while CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" was named best TV drama.
