Dizzee Rascal Dominates PLUG Independent Award Noms   Print

UK grime artist Dizzee Rascal came out as the top nominee for this year's PLUG: Independent Music Awards. The rapper has a total of five nominations including album of the year for Boy In Da Corner.

Other nominees include Madlib for Artist Of The Year and Jean Grae for Female Artist Of The Year. Dizzee, MF Doom, RJD2 and Danger Mouse are all in the running for Male Artist Of The Year.

Started in 2001, the PLUG: Independent Music Awards allows the general public to vote for artists that are considered underground/and or on the fringes.  For a complete list of nominees check their website.
