Producer To Release Second Album Of Rare Tracks From The Game   Print
Monday, 21 February 2005

hip-hop newsOnly three months after dropping Untold Story, former mentor to The Game, JT The Bigga Figga, is scheduled to release a second collection of rare and exclusive tracks recorded before the Compton emcee found fame.

Slated to drop March 29, West Coast Resurrection will appear on JT's Get Low Records and showcases unreleased songs recorded in the Bay Area while Game was working with JT. The pair met during a Hip-Hop conference featuring Russell Simmons and Minister Louis Farrakhan.

"He caught my attention," JT said. "His style was not like a normal West Coast style. It was more like an East Coast style with a West Coast look and West Coast lyrics. He sounded like a bunch of famous people. I knew if the right amount of money was behind him that he would definitely become a star."

The duo immediately began recording, and knocked out roughly 30 songs. The newest set features 14 of those tracks.

In the wake of The Game's major label debut, The Documentary, recently turniong Platinum, JT is set to get a return for his investment.

"I told him I could bring him to the Bay and go ahead and knock out an album -- really as much material as possible," he continued. "I told him, 'All I want claim to is the songs that me and you do. Whatever you do on your own after that, it's on you. Get your money cousin.'"
