Xzibit Preps For U.S. Tour and MTV Aussie Awards   Print

hip-hop newsXzibit is set to embark on a U.S. 10-city tour during the month of March to support of his latest album Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Cingular Wireless, Sony Ericsson and Sony Urban Music will join the trek with its 10 finalists in their search for the next “Hip Hop SupaStar.”

During Xzibit’s tour, concertgoers will have the opportunity to try out the Sony Ericsson Z500a by visiting the Hip Hop SupaStar car kiosk.

Fans also will have the opportunity to take part in a three-minute interactive experience, during which they will listen to the top ten finalists' ringtones and cast their vote. Visit www.HipHopSupaStar.com for more info.

In other Xzibit news, MTV recently announced that the "Pimp My Ride" host will perform at the first-ever MTV Australia Video Music Awards set to broadcast live on Thursday, March 3. Joining him will be Ja Rule, Chingy, Kelly Osbourne, Green Day, Simple Plan and more. X-to-the-Z, who hosted the MTV Europe Video Music Awards in Rome last year, will also be hosting the red carpet proceedings at the MTV AVMA's.
