The Game associate, Kevin Reed, has been identified by police as the gunshot victim in Monday's night shooting outside Hot 97.
According to New York Newsday, the 24-year old Compton native revealed to cops that and several other associates went to the station with Game in order to confront 50 Cent who was inside announcing to radio listeners that he intended to drop Game from the G-Unit clique.
After being denied entry into the building, Game, Reed and the others waited outside. "A group of men were hanging around the building, but weren't allowed to enter," said Detective Camacho. "Another group of guys exited the building and a dispute started; multiple shots were fired and one man was struck in the leg."
Reed was shot three times by waht police believe was a member of 50's entourage, once in the upper leg and grazed in the leg and shoulder. He was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he was treated and released yesterday.
No arrests have been made.
Police are also investigating gunfire that happened later that night at Violator Management, which represents 50 Cent.
In addition to all the gunplay, foulplay was simultaneously in the works as 50 Cent supporters hacked Game's official website forum. The forum, which featured a picture of a gun and obscene posts, has since been restored to order.
In response to the chaos, and possible threats to his life, 50 Cent cancelled his appearance at a BET-sponsored fashion show at New York's famed Roseland Ballroom.
