Fantasia To Write Autobiography, Tells Idol Hopefuls To 'Act Ugly'

 Reigning American Idol Fantasia Barrino is about to try her hand at writing a book.
The twenty year-old singer recently signed a deal to write an autobiography called "Life is Not a Fairy Tale." Due to hit the shelves in October 2005, the book will tell the not-so-secret story of how she went from being a single mom in North Carolina to a pop star.
In related news, the singer made an appearance on last night's (Wednesday, April 6) American Idol. Performing a short medley, which excluded her current controversial ode to single mothers, "Baby Mama," Barrino worked the stage, energetically riffing into the microphone, before telling Idol hopefuls to "act ugly" in order to reach their dreams.
Barrino's debut set, Free Yourself, currently ranks No. 9 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
