Public Enemy Plans Reunion Concert   Print
Thursday, 30 June 2005
hip-hop newsAn upcoming rock music fest is including a performance by Public Enemy which is being billed as a reunion.

The iconic rap act's original members (Chuck D, Flavor Flav and Professor Griff) are set to hit Hellfest 2K5, a three-day New Jersey festival that features 188 acts, predominately heavy metal artists.

Chuck D., who publicly blasted Flava Flav for his role in the reality show Strange Love, has decided to bury the hatchet and concentrate on the music.

The fest jumps off August 19-21 at Trenton, N.J.'s Sovereign Bank Arena and will feature five stages of music, a tattoo convention, skate park and flea market. Three-day tickets are available for $99.99 at the event's site. After that, general admission passes will be available through the box office for $123.

In related news, Public Enemy will release Rebirth Of A Nation, their first new album in three years, on August 28 on independent label Guerilla Funk Recordings.
