 Miami-bred singer Pleasure, along with rappers Slick 'Em, Baby Blue, and Spectacular make up the flamboyant rap/R&B quartet known as Pretty Ricky.
The four performers, currently part of Bow Wow and Omarion's Heart Throbs Tour, are blood brothers, raised and nurtured in the business by their performer father, Blue Smith, whom they call "'ol boy." Since 1997, the rapping brothers took their cues from Nelly, Tupac, and The Notorious B.I.G., while the lone singer studied Keith Sweat, Stevie Wonder, and Gerald Levert. Along with their musical inspiration, the boys put their own slightly sleazy spin on their act, specifically geared towards the ladies.
They soon became known for their crazy onstage dance antics and flashy style of dress. By 2002, their song "Flossin'," was a local hit and they went on to open for a slew of established acts, including Run-DMC, Lil Jon, Trick Daddy, Trina, and fellow Miami artist Pitbull.
In late-2004, their second radio hit, "Grind With Me,"became a monster hit and led to their being signed with Atlantic Records.
Pretty Ricky's debut album, Bluestars, dropped in May 2005, led by the single which went on to become a national smash.
