Snoop Dogg has been vindicated in a lawsuit alleging that he raped a makeup artist after a taping of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" two years ago.
As previously reported, Snoop, aka Calvin Broadus, was sued by the woman who claimed he and several of his associates drugged and raped her on the job. According to the suit, she applied Snoop's makeup before four shows, and was drugged with spiked champagne after his final appearance.
No criminal charges were ever brought against Snoop.
Snoop also filed a lawsuit accusing the woman of allegedly attempting to extort $5 million in exchange for keeping silent. He sought punitive damages and to bar her from future threats.
On August 3, the woman's attorney filed a request to dismiss her suit with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled. Shortly afterward, she issued a statement saying, "The matter has been resolved amicably, and the lawsuits have been dismissed."
Snoop's also dismissed his lawsuit, and paid "absolutely no money in the settlement," according to his spokesperson.
