An irate Lil Jon recently raged against his label TVT in a candid interview with southern hip-hop publication Ozone Magazine, claiming they haven't paid him any money for his multi-platinum releases, 2002's Kings of Crunk and 2005's Crunk Juice.
"I don't f**k with [TVT Records owner] Steve Gottlieb," the Atlanta-based super-producer proclaimed. "He don't know how to pay people and take care of the people that helped take his label to another level. You've gotta take care of people that helped you make money and basically made your company and made other artists wanna come to your label."
Jon also told the magazine he was in the process of taking legal action against Gottlieb.
"I've had record sales totaling probably like 10 million and I ain't seen no money from the label. None at all. Zip, zero. Show money and production is how I'm getting paid. People hide things and claim there are reasons why you ain't getting your money. But it's all bullsh!t."
In the wake of earlier rumors that he had disowned his label and refused to promote additional singles from Crunk Juice, Jon confirmed he would never record another album for TVT again.
"TVT are some beeyatches. In case ya'll didn't know, I'll never record another album for TVT again."
In related news, the so-called King of Crunk has recently flown the crunk coop, producing work for pop stars such as Jessica Simpson and Hilary Duff.
"I was doing a remix for [Simpson's 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin'], and when I did the beat, I was like, 'This beat is too hot for a remix,' " he told MTV. "I sent the beat to her and they liked it for her album. Hilary Duff, we did a song for a soundtrack. She has the 'Material Girl' movie coming out and we redid [Madonna's] 'Material Girl.' "
