Almost a year after his Best of Both Worlds tour with R. Kelly bit the dust, Jay-Z is planning to headline concerts in New Jersey and Philadelphia.
Like the outings Jigga pulled together post-Kelly, the shows will be "& Friends" affairs.
As of press time, the "friends" on the various tickets have yet to be announced.
The Oct. 27 show at East Rutherford, N.J.'s Continental Airlines Arena is being staged by New York hip-hop radio outlet WWPR, while the next night's concert at Philadelphia's Wachovia Center Jersey show is a WUSL event. Tickets ranging from $9.99 to $99.99 are already on sale for the latter via Ticketmaster; sales info for the New Jersey event has not yet been announced.
Last year's hastily pulled together friends shows featured the likes of Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams and Mary J. Blige just to name a few.
Jay-Z is also considering a return to recording.
"When people want something bad enough, it happens. And they want it bad," he recently told Billboard. "I'm trying to hold out, but I don't know how long I can."
